- The Fair is starting today, and since I live less than a mile away from the Fairgrounds, I can look forward to seeing lot’s of mullets and air-brushed wrestling t-shirts adorned on Walter White’s clientele. The nerd in me is especially jazzed to see Weird Al perform on Tuesday.

-I’ve been contemplating uprooting the fam out of Boise and moving to Portland. That city is amazing. I was born there but moved to Boise when I was a baby and been here ever since. When I visited it a couple years ago, it felt so right being there. I’ve traveled all over the world and no other city made me feel so at home as Portland did.
-People that give me shit about smoking then want to bum a smoke when they’re drinking: fuck you.
-Most of my friends have started having kids in the past year. I started 10 years ago. I think it’s cool that they all start calling me and wanting to hang out with me more shortly after they find out they’ve got a kid on the way and want parental advice. I know I’m not a dirtbag dad, but it is touching that they all see me as father enough to get some knowledge from. It’s encouraging to hear that since I always feel like I can do better as a parent.
